The tests performed in the Mechanical laboratory determine the mechanical properties of the materials, such as its tensile, compressive or bending strength, Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, etc.
These tests may be performed at ambient, hot or cold temperatures, with or without extensometers fitted.
