A thermal shock chamber consists of two chambers, one hot and the other cool. A basket containing the test pieces circulates between the two. This exposes the parts to very rapid changes in temperature, typically from a hot environment (up to +190°C) to a cold environment (-60°C).

SGS SERCOVAM has a large pool of thermal shock chambers, offering capacities of up to 150l.
