SERCOVAM's gas corrosion chambers simulate the effects of corrosive industrial atmospheres on electrotechnical products, in accordance with international standard IEC 68-2-60. The gases used are:
- hydrogen sulphide (H2S)
- sulphur dioxide (SO2)
- nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
- chlorine (Cl2)
Variants 1 to 4 of the test method (with the variations relating to the presence and concentration of gases, temperatures and humidity) are selected to suit the product's function and the atmosphere they are required to resist.
