The TCAC corrosion test developed by PSA (test method Ref. D13 5486) exposes test specimens for 12 weeks to alternating humid and dry phases, with a twice-weekly phase of spraying with an acid saline mist.
This test reproduces the naturally-occurring conditions which induce ageing.
