UV photoaging for automotive interior parts
All materials that are part of the vehicle cabin such as plastic (painted or dyed), leather (natural or synthetic), skins, trims, textiles, films, wood, etc ..., are influenced by the UV photoaging during their life cycle. These permanent or intermittent irradiations generate the following degradations: - visual: brightness (DeltaL at 20 °, 60 ° or 85 °), colour (measurement of DeltaE through single or multi-angle L * a * b spectrocolorimetry), contrast (grey scale), simple visual comparison - Mechanical (when the radiation penetrates more the material) - sensory (smell, touch).
